Ballet Recitals
The girls had their Ballet Recital on May 15th this year. They both did a beautiful job! B- has come a long way and really enjoys it! She gets better and better each year. L- is so cute to watch, she is still learning the moves and tries real hard. They both performed at the 1p which was really nice that way we only had to go once.

L- Spelling words.
L- is finishing her Kindergarten year and she is starting to write in sentences. She has been sounding out her words all by herself, and surprisingly enough you can read them pretty well. Here are some I thought were cute, and pretty darn good for a 5 yr old.
Her way-correct way
Brk Brk Bark Bark
Pupe Puppy
Kwiit Quiet
budrflis Butterflies
She wrote: "See the pupe Brk Brk at the budrflis."Kwiit pupe.

Mother's Day
B- helping her dad cook dinner, and having fun while doing it.
So I haven't been too great about keeping up on my blog and I'm not great about taking pictures either sometimes, but I really enjoy it when I get the chance. But Mother's Day this year was one of my best so far. I love being a mom it has blessed my life so much. And I have a great husband, because he was behind all of the wonderful gifts I received for Mother's Day.
I got breakfast in bed, 2 dozon roses, plants and homeade cards from my kids, a work free day,and lots of attention. The best part was just hanging out together and seeing how excited they were to give me there little gifts.
L- My 5 yr old came home on the Friday before mother's day and pulled a bag out of her backpack and ran up stairs. She said I couldn't come in her room until Mother's Day, I said "Well how am I going to read you a story?" A few minutes later she came out and said "OK mom you can go in but don't look on the side of my bed!
Later I went in to find a mountain of books on the floor next to her bed, she had made a house of books around the gift she didn't want me to see(picture above). She was so excited and wanted to make sure I didn't see it until Mother's Day!
I loved the look on her face when she brought it to me that morning. How could I not act soo excited to open it! It was a beautiful flower plant she grow at school, we planted it in the front flower bed.

Radiology and Prayer
For the last 8 months I have been going through the interview process to get into the Radiology program here at the hospital. I have also been praying about the whole thing everyday. I told Heavenly Father "if this is where you want me to be put me in if not I move on. As the process went on I was called to be the seminary teacher in our ward, I have grown to love this calling and knew that if I got in the radiology program I would be unable to teach seminary, which made me really sad. But I decided to wait and see how my prayers would be answered. Slowly I got selected for the last interview and I knew my answer would arrive soon and it did. I recieved a regret letter in my e-mail, but it said that I was choosen as the first alternate. I weighed my chances and I thought they were pretty good but I decided not to dwell on it. I thought this must be my answer.
Then two weeks later I got another e-mail that said:
Dear Glenda,
Actually, we just found out a few minutes ago that
one of the students invited to attend the school
has decided to decline entering the school.
We are pleased to inform you that you have been selected for admission to the Winchester Medical Center’s School of Radiologic Technology. The program start date is June 28.
School starts Monday, June 28th and goes through that
week. We will have off the week of July 5 – 9 and then school
will get into full swing on Monday, July 12th.
Congratulations and best wishes!

So I thought "I guess Heavenly Father does want me to go to school."
Now this program is like having a full time job and going to school, plus nights and weekends on occasion. My husband said he would help me and I found someone to watch my kids over the summer. So everything was pretty much set and I was very excited. And I thought Heavenly Father has answered my prayers.
So in the mean time I thought it would be a good idea to fast and pray about it the following fast sunday, so I could feel the peace of knowing everything was going to work out. And so I did and something amazing happened.....I wokeup the next day feeling like I didn't want to do this at all. So I talked to my husband, and he was a little confused, so I told him "I must be tired, maybe I will feel different tomorrow". So I wokeup the next day and the same feeling came over me, so now I'm thinking, "let me give it the rest of the week just to make sure." The feelings didn't change all week. The Lord made it so clear as to what he wanted me to do. I have never felt so much power and clarity in my prayers as I did at this time.
It's funny how fast things can change. I felt all the stress leave that I have been carrying over the last 8 months. I will still be teaching seminary in the fall and feel so very blessed in doing so.
And I can be the mom and keep that most sacred role and that is more important then the radiology program.
They say when someone in your family serves a mission you are blessed, my parents are serving a mission in Guam and I can truely feel the blessings of their service in my life.

Easter 2010
We spent Easter in Ct. again this year with my sister and her family. The weather was beautiful(80s) so the kids were able to play outside most of the time. They all had pink cheeks. It was General Conference the same weekend which was wonderful because we got to listen to the prophet speak on the life of the Savior. It was really neat to remember the recurrection of the Savior while watching the earth come to life again.
The Easter bunny hid eggs outside for the kids to find, and they had a great time looking for them. It was great to share this time of year with family.
They are ready for the hunt.

New York, New York
Of all the trips we have taken to New York this was by far the best! Now that the kids are older they enjoyed it almost as much as we did. First we went to the American Girl Store, then we went to dinner at a really nice restaurant "Ruth Chris" after we had time to kill so we walked around Time Square and Rockefeller Center, and then to the show at 8p to see "Wicked." the show was awesome! The whole experience was fun and relaxing!
If you look close you will see the "Wicked" sign on the left.

It's the look of torture!! LOLThe guys were waiting for us while we shopped at the American Girl. This is a priceless moment!

B- 10th Birthday
It was B- 10th Birthday on March 3rd. We had a family party for her, she had a Harry Potter cake because that's what she's into right now. She gets her big present when we all go to New York on April 1st to see "Wicked" and shop at the American Girl Store. I can't believe it!! I can remember her as a baby just yesterday. She has changed my life forever and we are soo grateful to have her as part of our family. One thing I love about B- is her sweet spirit, she always wants to do the right thing and loves to serve her family and others. We love you B-
This is one of my favorite pictures of B-. She was 3 yrs old and we were living with my parents while hubby was over seas. I couldn't find her anywhere, and when I did she was ready to drink a few of these Root Beers and had chocolate all over her face. I asked " Have you been eating Chocolate?" And she answered "NOPE" I said "Are you sure? Still "NOPE" I asked "Then whats all over your face?" she said "I don't know" I thought it was soo funny that I took the picture. Whatever it was, it looks pretty good!
